This session is designed as an introduction to 3- areas of critical thinking in straight-forward, do-able steps for teaching students how to think critically about text. Teachers will focus on Recall, Summarizing, and Discussion Tabs that support deep comprehension and critical thinking across the content areas of ELA, Social Studies, and Science. These how-to techniques are the groundwork for comprehension that every student needs in order to become a sophisticated reader, writer, and speaker.
